Rose has always thought that her mother was a distant relative of the Dursleys. Someone who valued a quite normal life, while Rose has always dreamt of adventures and magic. But her life was sadly boring. She takes the same way to highschool every morning with her bestfreind. Eats the same lunch. And stops at the same library every afternoon. Her weekends are mostly filled with books and movies. The only things that spices up her life are her dreams. Weird, realistic dreams. Her life is perfectly normal, until the day she meets the boy in her dreams, Kaden. But that's enough, now everything's changed. She discovers a word she never thought could exist. And as she investigates a murder with Kaden that may have something to do with her, they find out that there might be more to this story than what it seems. But their discoveries shatter the thin walls that were separating both worlds, releasing some forces that should have never been bothered at first.

The Eastern territory of Falu has finally been conquered. The minds of the people, warped. They live in luxury and seek passion. They murder innocence but encourage ignorance. Self-fulfillment is what they fight for, freedom is what they teach, deceit is how they succeed. It's a world of beauty and flawless art, but beneath the surface beats the heart of power and corruption. They will stop at nothing. Fig isn't special. She doesn't possess hidden power or astounding wisdom. Yet, she's everything they are not. Pure. Simple. Noble. She knows nothing of the darkness pumping through the veins of the planet she inhabits. But despite this, she holds the key to its survival. When her mind is awakened to the truth, she will have to decide who can be trusted and who must be destroyed. --- Massive thanks to @jgfairytales and @swpoet for putting so much time into helping me with editing and critiquing. "When I tell you that he hates me, you'll probably assume it's because he's a jerk...but you'd be wrong. He's not a jerk. I am." --- Several years ago tragedy struck Emma's home, leaving her broken... like a cup with cracks spiraling and slithering around the edges. Slowly, bitterness crept in like tar, hardening between each fracture to resemble a deceitful wholeness. She became a monster, and targeted her venom on the sweetest person she could find: Trinity Nixon. Too bad the boy Emma longed for was Trinity's brother. Now, as Emma fights to win the heart of the boy who despises her, she's forced to hide her demons. She paints her fragile cup in pinks, yellows, and oranges - all the colors of the sun. She paints on a smile, and an unusual sense of humor, so that the world will view her as bright and cheerful, when in reality she's breaking. But she's completely unprepared for the acidic truth that melts away the tar, demolishing her shell, and awakening the Emma White buried deep inside. --- Book 1 in The Dismantled Pride series *Story was previously titled "Faking It"

After a crushing defeat on the battlefield, the Ravner family are forced into exile whilst the king sits comfortably upon his throne. Years on and it's all the family know. On the run from her family, she is captured and forced to bow to the man they call king. Anything left of her is killed in an instant. Yet, when stirrings of old magic begin to surface - magic that has been dead and buried for many years - can Asta find her way in a world she never felt she belonged to? Should we shun the darkness, embrace it, or merely accept it? In the beginning, that question could be answered so easily. Light and darkness were two separate entities, one good, one evil. That was until the Solar Convergence. About three thousand years ago, the sun and moon permanently aligned. The Solar Convergence, as it was named, forced light and darkness to become a single actuality. Although it seemed that the merge was external, soon, it became clear that the Solar Convergence had the power to fuse the light and darkness within individuals. That kind of fusion, however, overwhelms the human heart, thus stripping the person of all morals and leaving them with just their instincts. Now, a young man named Elijah searches for his parents who had disappeared when he was eight years old. In a world where good and evil are one and the same, Elijah must not only search for his parents, but also for the missing pieces of himself he had lost in his youth. Updates are Fridays. Highest rank: #901 Fantasy Enjoy.
