In the land of Akavarr there is magic in everyone and the supernatural is spread so far and wide that it has become the ordinary. In separate, unassuming villages within Akavarr, there are two girls. They are the balance of dark and light, Yin and Yang. Marked and chosen at birth to be bestowed with their drastically different powers at the dawn of their fifteenth birthday, they constantly felt a pull toward each other that neither could explain. One was drawn to the east, the other to the west, but what would befall them when they finally joined?
