Josephine McMaster is pretty and smart, but very much a klutzy mess. Finally, at 26, she may have actually lost the dreaded 'McMaster the Disaster' nickname that has followed her around her whole life. Josie's quite content to be single, much to her mother's disappointment. So when a bizarre contest is announced where a socialite is holding a lottery to pick her bridesmaids (and rake in a little extra cash), she can't roll her eyes fast enough, even if it does mean meeting Jake Hall, her one and only movie star crush. Obviously, Josie doesn't enter the bridesmaid lottery, so you can imagine her surprise when her picture pops up among the winners, thanks to Mom. With a little prodding -- okay bribing -- Josie agrees to participate. The wedding turns into the event of the year, and Josie finds herself in the middle of a paparazzi feeding frenzy, which gets even crazier after Jake Hall takes a special interest in her. Can Josie handle the pressure in the spotlight? Is it possible she might really have a chance with Jake Hall? And if she's busy worrying about all that, how in the heck is she going to keep 'McMaster the Disaster' from showing up in front of the entire world?

"Hey there beautiful, wanna go out sometime?" He asked with a slight smirk. "With you?" I asked in a sweet voice. "Sure thing baby girl" He replied. I faced him, slightly moving closer. "You know what I really want?" I asked in a seductive tone. "Mhm?" he asked, his eyes filled with lust. I slowly leaned forward, placing my hands on his chest and leaned towards his mouth. My mouth was inches away from his and he closed his eyes as I smirked with satisfaction. It was working. Surprising everyone, I lifted my leg and kicked him were the sun don't shine. Gasps were heard throughout the hall and Chase instantly fell to the ground, holding his precious jewels. "What the fuck?!" He groaned. In a deadly sweet voice I got down to eye level. "Well now you know how it feels when you break a girls heart". I stood up and walked away. Everyone looked at me with awe stricken faces and I twirled my body around putting my hand on my hip. "By the way the names Avery Blue" I spoke loudly. Flashes of recognition crossed people's faces but Chase was the most shocked of them all. I stared at Chase straight in the eyes. "Karma's a bitch" before turning around and continuing my way to physics class. xx Avery Blue has had enough of being tormented by her classmates and leaves school to return with one agenda. Rebekah Breegan is far more than your ordinary teenager. A drama queen to the fullest and full of exaggeration, her life cannot get any more eventful. Or can it? What happens when old faces turn up in new places? But, it can't be just anyone, can it? Come on, where's the fun in that. Excerpt His voice is much deeper now but it still holds the softness of laughter that had always been there for as long as I knew him. He stands in front of me face turned to the sun with his eyes closed, hands deep in his pockets. The sunlight envelopes his body and I have to squint to look at him. He shrugs his shoulders and turns his body fully towards me. Looking me straight in the eye. It's the first time we've seen each other in eight years. Neither of us are smiling. We study each other and that's how we stay for a few minutes. His once platinum blond hair, so different to the burgundy tones of the rest of his family, is stained with a deep brown, so dark it's almost black. I think of the time he came crying to me at the beach house because his brother had told him he was adopted because of his blond hair and he'd believed him. He certainly doesn't look the same either. Puberty was way too kind to him. A tower of nearly 6ft, his chest and upper body is clad in a plain white shirt, paired with fitted black jeans and dirty boots. I spot his satchel resting by the foot of my bed. "You done checking me out?" he cocks his head to the side smiling deviously at me, his eyes twinkling with laughter.
