Dan Howell, a 26 year old protagonist and sometimes video blogger, lost his best friend Phil Lester, a 30 year old child at heart, to the ways of family and love. Phil adores spending time with 28 year old Milly Langdon and so decides on keeping it that way. Dan doesn't enjoy Milly's company so Phil decides it's best if he just moves on. Every day after that, Dan regrets ever opening his mouth. Will Phil ever realise what he truly left behind? (This is set in the future, that's why their ages aren't their real ages oh)

Phil lives in an orphanage, he had since he was 11. He has one best friend, Brandie. Well... She is his sister. Phil is constantly bullied for being gay and is almost near death when a boy named Dan saves him. Dan's family takes interest in Phil and Brandie, but Brandie suddenly goes missing.
