And despite how much of an asshole Gerard Way is, he's the only one that seems to make anything better.

A year after Nicole disappeared from Chris's life, the man has become someone else, and no one dares bring up the girl he believes is dead. But nobody knows that. He never told a soul about the night he found her note telling him goodbye. He seems to be on the brink of insanity until one November night. He sees a girl after one of his shows with Nicole's haunting blue eyes, and when he stops her, there's no denying it is Nicole. When their lives finally intersect once more, it will prove that you can't always escape your past and that some things weren't meant to be left unfinished.

Chris has been a friend of Bobby's for years and agrees to help Bobby with his little sister by taking her back to Scranton with him. Nicole goes along, desperate for a change in her dark world, but as she develops real feelings for Chris, she finds out he is already taken, and she is driven deeper into her depression. She fights as hard as she can to keep it a secret from Chris, hoping to gain the courage to end her pain before he realizes what she's doing. Will Chris see through Nicole's lies and save her from herself? Or will she end up being a terrible memory?

Gerard wasn't normal. Frank was. Or at least, he was normal until he found out.
