As punishment for murdering the heir was to be executed or banned from all four kingdoms and villages and if you sneak in somehow and get caught the punishment is death. Of course like anyone would've chose was to be choice number two. Ōkami was a powerful ice mage, she probably the best. She chose to live in the mountains where it was cold and far away from everyone. She thought that the mountain was too far away and too high for anyone to appear but how would she know anything can happen in a world where pigs can fly.
