Caledra is a low class Silvan elf who dreams of doing something grander than her current job as dockmaster, running cargo to and from ships all day. She dreams of adventure and danger, of romance and the luxury she had never been permitted. However, when she sneaks into a party she was never intended to be at, she finds all those wishes of her's just around the rivers bend. Forced to serve as the Elvenking's personal servant, she finds her will tested at almost every encounter. Pain, humiliation, pleasure, whatever it takes to create an obedient servant. Will she be able to thaw the King's cold heart? Behind all of this, there is evil stirring in Middle-Earth, royal affairs and high class gossip, and a company of dwarves makes it's way across the land. Being a king is hard. Raising a son is hard. Living with eternal grief is hard. King Thranduil is just trying to keep his kingdom running and his son safe when an elf is found with orcs at the border of Greenwood. Who could this mysterious elf truly be? But then the elf he rescued in the forest grows closer to Legolas, and Thranduil can not help but enjoy her company as well. Darkness descends over the forest, all because of this one elf. When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart. 12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement. That being said, this story will change starting today probably and if you're in the middle of it, hopefully I don't confuse details or timelines for you. If you've already read it once and just felt like you had to read it again, maybe it will provide some new enjoyment. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually finish some other stuff I have on here.

A village is attacked, leaving only one survivor. Forced to flee for her life, she ends up in Mirkwood. There she meets a handsome elf - King Thranduil. As darkness encroaches ever so slowly on Mirkwood, will they be able to find the source, and stop it, before it's too late?
