Carl Chiasson: No Boundaries Nearing Bob's Bikes, I opened the greasy door and entered. The pungent aroma of rubber filled my nostrils. As my eyes glazed over the hovering sleek bikes hanging by single threads, I made eye contact with a boy around my age. I paused and gaped at his face; exuberant brown eyes looked at me through his dark luscious lashes. His chiseled jaw tightened suddenly as he looked down, showing me his full head of silky light brown hair. My eyes scanned the remainder of his body, and let me say that I wasn't disappointed. From behind the counter I could see his six pack ever so slightly protruding from his black uniform polo, crying for some exposure. After viewing this god like creature, how was it possible for an awkward girl like me to talk to someone like him? Nevertheless, I slowly made my way up to the counter and bashfully stood in place. Standing there for a good three minutes, my ears were blessed by a heavenly rugged voice. "Are you just going to stand there like a sitting duck or actually buy something?' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bad boy + Nerd = is a twist on your average girl meets boy story. Join Cherise Runkel on her romantic journey with Carl, the bad boy. Will they fight their inner demons and become the power couple, or will they crash and burn?

#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. Nine chapters of the original First draft. I will provide updates when I can on what will happen next with this story. :) *** Ali Anglesey is the picture of grace, elegance, and poise. She's worked hard to be perfect girl appearance wise, aesthetic wise, friend wise and work wise, but it's all an act. An act she's been able to keep up for nearly ten years. After a fall out with the director of her ballet company though, Ali decides to go from full-time ballerina to full-time college student. Finding herself saddened by the loss of the one and only constant in her life since she was eight years old, she tries to be positive about pursuing a new adventure. That is until an unexpected change in events lands her in Professor Henry Davenport's lecture hall. As her past begins to come back to haunt her, Ali starts to wonder if she's made a terrible mistake stepping out of the safety of her bubble. Will she make it through the semester in one piece or will the handsome Professor threaten to tear apart the carefully constructed life she's built for herself and rip open old wounds she's buried deeply beneath years of toe tape and bandages?

Six teens are devoted to a game with one rule: If a player gets tagged, they must change their life within the next fifteen minutes. The better the player, the bigger the change. One might give their car away, or punch the school bully. Another might change identities or sacrifice their virginity. Anything to keep evolving, to avoid fitting into a label or caring about the junk they own. But their quest for enlightenment has taken a rotten final turn - one of the players has murdered the game's creator, the teen prophet (cult leader?) David Bloom. Our narrator is being framed for the crime; can he clear his name and discover which of his lifelong friends is the murderer before he takes the fall? [sic] is a gritty teen murder mystery that delves into the psychology of enlightenment among the criminally dysfunctional.
