Before Donna Noble, before Martha Jones and Rose, there was one, the very first companion of the Doctor. She too, was a Time Lord, and his very first real friend, her Gallifrien name, was Alaura, and she travelled with him everywhere. To the ends of the world they went, they travelled through the universe together, with a TARDIS they stole. And they were happy, they had fun, and laughed, they were content, until the day they would be no more. They argued and fought, yelled and screamed, until Alaura said she could take no more, and left. A Time Lord name, she had still to choose, angered and frustrated, she named herself, The Ghost, and travelled every where and when, helping, and soon forgotten. Many years later, she unknowingly runs into the man, at first she ignored it, until it nagged her to death. Since then, Evey time she landed, she kept out an eye for the Time Lord she knew she loved. At last, she ran into him, him on his tenth, she on her eight, he with a new companion. Once she ran into him, trouble ensues, and again, she's running, running with The Doctor. (Psssst!!! Hey!!! She left him, in his weakest moment. She just up, and walked away. She couldn't help him get through what he had to get through, because she remembered. She remembered why traveling with him was so dangerous. She couldn't deal with the death and destruction that happened when he was around. She just couldn't do it. So she left him, plain and simple. She altered his memory of her, and left. Now she's running, running away from him, praying she doesn't run into him, but, he's rubbed off on her, now she's bringing destruction where she goes. Raine is confused and scared, running in circles, trying to be who she was before. But she's going mad trying to find herself. So worried about fixing herself, she doesn't see the evil cloud that's coming after her. Until it's too late. (A short story, falling between 'Hello Again', and the sequel, 'Hello Stranger')

"I'm The Reader, I'm the last Time Lady from the planet of Gallifrey, I have travelled for over 1000 years, And I'm the words on the page you're to scared to read." ••• The Reader is the last Time Lady, the Time Lords created her to be the perfect weapon in wars. Never aging, never dying, she was invincible. Until the Great Time War. Everything fell apart. They were dying, and she knew she would be next, no way her powers could save her now. So she ran. She traveled the stars, going by a book, her mind, and her extremely advanced powers, creating the universe as she passed. Aliens cowered in fear at her name. The Reader knew that one day, something terrible would happen to her. Something undescribable, something impossible. Something involving a Doctor. ••• All rights go to BBC. I only own my characters and would really appreciate if you didn't use them without my consent. (Spoilers may come later in book)

From the day they arrive on the planet, and blinking step into the sun, there is more to see than- "Dude, that's the Lion King." "Oh...sorry." "No, whatever just...just try again." The human world, it's a mess. Life- "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the Little Mermaid." Humans are amazing. They all just go through so much, but you know what's beautiful? When life gets them down, they just keep on swimming. "Stop. That's Finding Nemo. I don't even know where you're going with that one." Everyone controls their own destinies, you don't need magic- "You need to seriously stop quoting Disney." If music be the food of- "Get out." "What?" "Just move over, I'm doing it myself." "Wait, give me-" "Nope. We've been here for an hour. Go away." "But-" "Seriously, Doctor, leave." "Fine." "Alright, let's see..." From the day they are born, humans are hardwired to slowly, but endlessly change. They are given the tools to adapt to whatever environment they choose to live. They don't realize how lucky they are to harness this gift, the gift of change. Humans are small creatures in this vast universe, but they are important. However, despite being given the gift of change, many humans choose to fight it. They don't want the change, so they constantly battle against it. Yet, no one has ever won. Except for me. Well, me and the Doctor. But we don't really fall in the 'human' category. Note: I do not own Doctor Who. All rights to BBC except my own characters. P.S. This is in no way a romance novel. ATTENTION: The first 30 chapters of this book are...not good. I'm rewriting them. Honestly, you won't hurt my feelings if you want to skip over them completely.
