"Your resume says your main achievement is... finishing a rubber before losing it because you are awesome." "Yep!" "Your personality type says you are... sassy, hot and cool (more than anyone here) at the same time because you are awesome? That's a challenge." He smirked as he raised his perfect eyebrow. I nodded dumbly. And then I heard him mumbling," Never knew a Smurfs' T shirt was that hot with red pants..." "Your special education says... you were in Hogwarts?" His eyes opened wide. "Yo!" "And your interests says you want to go home and watch Ironman because you didn't want to apply for this job anyway and you are forced..." "You got me right boy!" I pointed at him with my finger. But then he said the three words I never expected to hear. "You're hired, hobo."

#295 in vampire "Do you believe them, Lia? He gripped my arms and shook me gently in an attempt to get me to answer. I knew the answer to that. I had always known. I didn't believe them. I believed not a word they spoke of my Adam. But what I said to him in response was totally different. "Give me a reason not to." I knew the effect that my answer had on him. I saw his questioning eyes turn back to a hard, cold shield, his expressions hardened. He released his grip from my arms and turned away and I instantly resented myself for turning him back into the unresponsive guy he had turned into. Before I could open my mouth to say something, anything, Adam's hand pushed me against the door and blocked the way with his hands on either side. I gulped and willed myself to continue breathing as he lowered his head, dangerously close to my face. I closed my eyes in painful anticipation. _______________________________________________________________________________________ I lived in a town. It was a quiet town. Matches: Why We Burned Out // SHORT STORY (20 CHAPTERS) // QUICK UPDATES He lights another match and waits for it to burn down a little. "This is the perfect match. It's doing great, right? Burning and stuff. It's wonderful. But even the perfect match," he waits for the fire to consume the wood completely and disappear into ashes, "has to burn out. I think that works with people too. There's always going to be one day where things just stop functioning, and there's nothing we can do about it. And it's nobody's fault but time's. We were the perfect match. We didn't have the perfect timing." WARNING: THIS IS A VERY SAD STORY. LIKE, INSANELY SAD.
