My name is Mina. I'm thirteen, and I live in a war filled country. And I was chosen to fight, among many other kids, including my best friend, Valene. One day, my camp was raided. Valene was taken prisoner, and I know I have something to do something about it.

After the bombing, everything changed. Seven Teens, each with a special gift. Their families were killed, and they were the only ones in their entire town still alive. But what happens next was almost as unbelievable. They were rescued by some interesting people, and taken to a supernatural island, that no mortal had ever seen before. It was filled with creatures unknown to them and abnormal powers. They're told that they have these powers, and must be able to control them. How will they learn to fit in? And what is everyone so worried about?
