I suddenly felt the need to explain. "I did not say that I hated you! I said that I didn't like you! It's totally different! Besides I didn't even mean it, I had been embarrassed. It was so obvious that I was in love with you, even a stranger would have realized it!" He stared at me and I stared back. "You were in love with me?" I blushed. I just ratted myself out. I looked down at my hands and started to bit my bottom lip. This was getting out of hand. -------------------------------------------- Danielle Williams once had a crush on mr. A short collection of modern war poetry 1995 - 2014 Highly personal, this short anthology draws on the writer's experiences as a soldier and officer of the British Army in conflict zones in Europe, Africa, Iraq and Afghanistan. Although, the majority of these poems are previously unpublished, a number were published in the 2011 anthology 'Heroes: 100 Poems from the new generation of war poets' published by Ebury press. The 'Heroes' poems were selected for publication by a panel that included Carol Ann Duffy (the UK Poet Laureate), Simon Rae (Radio 4's 'Poetry Please') and General Lord Dannatt The poem 'Care Under Fire' was featured on BBC TV's 'The One Show'. Please be warned: the poem 'Convoy Stop' contains what many regard as the most offensive word in the English language.

The utter most inner thoughts and feelings of one who has but no other way to express them and therefore without a pen a paper she very much may spontaneously combust in an explosion of secrets bottled up for far far too long. : )

This collection of poetry features 40 of the 75 poems from my latest book Pomegranate Flesh. You are most welcome to vote and comment and follow me. The poems in this collection show Strider's gift of being able to weave words into creative and surprising configurations. He manipulates words to do his will, taming them with his love for the sounds, rhythms and cadence of language. The result is poetry that is fresh, wild, sensual, and new. His poetry lulls the reader into hypnotic and sensual trances with imaginative renderings of lush landscapes of the mind, body, and nature. Pomegranate Flesh is a wonderful compilation of poems, resonating with a poet's passion for life, love, and language. The Pomegranate is the national fruit and symbol of Armenia. It represents fertility, abundance and marriage. One ancient custom widely accepted in ancient Armenia was performed at weddings. A bride was given a pomegranate fruit, which she threw against a wall, breaking it into pieces. Scattered pomegranate seeds ensured the bride future children. http://www.lulu.com/shop/strider-marcus-jones/pomegranate-flesh/paperback/product-20444424.html http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pomegranate-Flesh-Strider-Marcus-Jones/dp/1291117318/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1390655580&sr=1-1 Content Warning The compilation you are about to read is intended for mature readers due to some sexual content and language.
