Her name is Holly, and due to a series of unfortunate events, she's afraid that her life as a vigilante might be coming to an end. Luckily for her, the help of a man in fancy clothes seems to point to things going uphill. Asked to join a federal group of licensed heroes, Holly and the Daughters of Men are now asked to take down an infamous, super powered serial killer who seemingly strikes at random. It's up to Holly and her teammates to take down this serial killer until he figures out exactly whose hunting him.

Romance one-shot written for a contest. Harper wakes up in a hospital with no recollection of who she is or how she got there. Doctors tell her it was an "accident", but something about the windowless hospital seems odd. It isn't until a group of people, claiming to be her friends, bust her out that she's given the truth: she's being held in a containment center for government criminals. Outside the prison walls, the government has taken over everything as the world recovers from a devastating plague. Harper finds out she's part of a rebel organization and was on the brink of a discovery when she was abruptly arrested. Whatever important piece of information she knew was wiped. Unfortunately, the rest of her memory was damaged in the process as well. No name, no past, no recollection of anything. Including Griffin, the man she was supposed to be in love with.
