Jace na to má jiný názor a snaží se říct Alecovi, že je už příliš pozdě a Magnus už zabil příliš mnoho lidí na to, aby byl odpuštěn. Alec o tom nechce slyšet a teď jsou parabatai rozděleni a bojují za to, co je pro ně správné.
