We are all sitting on the dinning table. My father asking us about our day, my mother smiling at us, while my brothers dig into their food like wild animals, and then there's me, Violet Smith. I look at my family and smile, feeling grateful for this blessed life. Little did I know one day it would all be gone. We only appreciate what we have when we lose it. Curious what I'm talking about? You should see for yourself, because it's a long ride. Some things in this book are based on true events.

I'm a psycho didn't you hear them? I don't belong here" I cried at him almost falling down my knees. From what I saw, his already dark eyes darkened even more. " I thi-" I didn't get to finish as I was pushed hitting a hard surfaces behind me, the wall. He took a step forward trapping me with his rock-hard body. "Listen Ellison, I understand more than you think, but I don't care. Let them talk." He muttered leaning in even more, I can feel his hot breath on my face. " If you were to be a psycho, you would be my psycho." Suddenly, all the tears vanished, I widened eyes in shock as I felt his soft lips collapse with mine in a ravishing kiss. -----

Survival is all about rules. It's really very simple. Follow the rules and maybe you last just a little bit longer than most other people. These rules are harsh. They are cruel and unforgiving. You might not like them. Hell, you may hate them, but the fact is you must listen to them. I don't really care if you think that's too hard. I don't care if you believe me and I don't care if you think I'm just being a hard-ass. Go right ahead, think that if you must. The rules still stand. Sit there and deny all you want. If you think you can do it better than me that's fine, just don't come looking for sympathy when things go south because you didn't follow the rules. Looking at you I already have my reservations. I just get this feeling that you aren't going to even listen to the rules. But I'm tired of watching people die of stupidity so I'm going to teach them to you anyway. Listen to my story, I'm only going to tell it once. Then, you can follow the rules if you want to. ***This story contains strong language and some sexual references but nothing explicit*** Copyright © 2017

What would you do if you found yourself in a new country with a new culture and with a new language? Follow Alejandro Madero as he explores a new world; as he finds love and fear, acceptance and rejection, grief and laughter, God and himself. "No one knows my past, so I can be anybody in Austria. Actually, I can be who I always wanted to be: MYSELF! Have I lost myself in the expectations and labels people have put on me? I'm so scared to fail. I guess it is time to find out who I am; who I really am." - Alejandro Madero This coming of age story is loosely based on the experiences exchanges students around the world have every year, and of course, experiences they hope to have experienced. So... This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
