So, my five year old mind working nonsense, I ran out of the cabin and into the forest. Mommy had told me not to go off the path but I couldn't even see straight and just ran. That night I couldn't find my way back to the cabin so I found a hollow tree that had fallen long ago and I curled up inside, pulling my sweater closer to me to keep warm. I fell asleep within an hour, tears never ceasing their flow. About two hours later I had woken up to something warm and fuzzy curling next to me. "Mommy?" I muttered as I pulled it closer. I opened my eyes and gasped when I realized it was a huge wolf. In my child mind I had thought "puppy!" She raised her head and looked at me.
