5 years after the defeat of Ryuko's and Satsukis mother, Ryuko wanders around Tokyo, looking for answers as to why her mother took a drastic turn. Honnoji academy has only changed the uniforms now, student only wearing regular clothes go on to their normal classes. Satsuki still reigns as student council president, and not much has changed. Until now.

After the intense battle between Ragyo (Ryuko and Satsuki's mother) Ryuko has been left with Mako and her simple family. Learning to become part of Makos family, Ryuko is facing many personal conflicts with herself.
