There's a lot of secrets being kept from Maya Hart. But none of them compare to the one that she's keeping; a missing girl who's wanted for murder. It's only a matter of time before the truth catches up to her and she's forced to do something about it.

Riley and Maya are many things. Polar opposites, school rivals and running competitors. Riley would say that Maya's ego is bigger than her 5ft body, but the blonde claims it's self confidence. Nevertheless, their personalities have clashed since the beginning. Until, one of them decides to change something.

It was a normal night for Riley Matthews -- she'd put on her pyjamas, brushed her teeth, and was about to get into bed. But that's where the normality of it ended. A girl with blonde hair and ice blue eyes climbed through her second-story bedroom window, ordering her not to freak out as three police cars drove slowly by with their lights flashing. After the girl introduced herself as "Maya Hart: Local Runaway," and explained that she was hiding from her family and not the police, Riley reluctantly agreed to let her live in her bedroom.
