[SAMPLE ONLY. PUBLISHED IN OCTOBER 2016] - LINK TO PURCHASE E-BOOK ON MY MESSAGE BOARD! "Why are you being nice to me? I'm a freak, I'm blind," Riley had once asked her, but Ellie could never answer that question, and she would never be able to. Ellie Burke is just this simple town girl, who will never look at the wrong way about anyone. Moving to Florida means everything to her - she could turn over a new leaf, start a new life, and get the chance to actually be someone -and not just this useless nerdy girl. Everything's going well for her until she meets this boy in her English class - and he's the most interesting, unique person Ellie has ever met. The boy who lost his sight. She's going to fight for what her heart wants every step of the way. This is Ellie's story, and it's going to be one bumpy, complicated romance that's nothing like the fairy tales say. A story of hope, trust and what true love really means.

'I can see ghosts... Can you?' I'm Opal Heart, a normal 17 year old teen. No, I'm not normal. Ever since a car accident, I see ghosts. They scare me a lot. I see them in school, at home, in shops, everywhere. Seeing ghosts isn't a bad thing, there's many good things, like, they keep you company and it's like a friend to you. But, normal people can't see them, so they would think I'm weird. Sometimes ghosts appear in front of me all of a sudden and it's so creepy that I scream for no reason and people just stare at me. Well... My life has changed ever since I met Peter. Whenever I hold onto him, ghosts disappear. Isn't that amazing? Is he going to be the one who can help me? No... apparently not... You see, I keep helping ghosts whenever they need help... If Peter is going to help me and be there for me, I might kill him and he might be in danger. I don't want any of this to happen. I don't want him to be the one in danger... But there's still questions that I can't answer: Why can I see ghosts? Why is it ME? Why can't it be her? Or him? Why me? I wish I could be a normal 17 teenage girl again... Please?

My name's Rubye Chandler. But I haven't been called that ever since I got my hands on the unsolved Rubik's Cube on my teacher's desk in kindergarten. Now I'm called Rubix. I'm the heart-throb of the school, almost every guy in school claims they're in love with me, almost. The only problem is who will have me? But that problem ended when someone said: "Let's handle this like gentlemen. Whoever can beat Rubix at her own game, can rightfully claim her his." No way I'm going to let my dignity and record taken away without a fight, with a record of 7.26 seconds. I'm confident no one will beat me, and that I can live off being single the rest of high school. But the tables turn when there's a new kid in town. He's not like most guys, failing in art and other classes, skipping classes and not participating in the games. Something about him is different, little did I know that one thing would change the Rubix Cube Challenge forever.

If you're judging this book by its cover and title, you're already proving the point this story wants to make. Try to move past this satirical obstacle in front of you. This is a story about bullying, and like the hundreds of other books on the topic, it will show you the harsh reality of being discriminated, belittled, ridiculed for something you cannot control- how you look, who you love, or what you believe in. But unlike these books, this story's sole purpose is not to tear your heart out of your chest as you mourn over your loss of faith in humanity. Instead, this book will make you laugh and love alongside these characters. Just like in life, there will be moments of dread and surrender, but there will also be moments of happiness, laughter, and love. - Naomi Lorraine, better known as Nerdy Naomi with her thick-rimmed glasses and straight-A report card, is the most unpopular girl in her school. Even with the help of her sarcastic comebacks, that doesn't stop her from getting bullied by everyone in Dartwell High. Every day her childhood bully, Raymond Meyers, knocks her off her feet, literally. However, she can't do anything but survive the laughs, insults, and bruises high school gives her. There are three senior transfer students, dubbed the Three Musketeers: Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch. All in one day, Naomi catches their attention one by one. With her snarky attitude, but innocent look, they can't help but want her. But not the way you're thinking. Oh no, not like that. Instead, it's probably the whole opposite. It's quite simple really. She'll be their good girl. And they'll be her bad boys. ~ [This story is a first draft written by a 13 to 15-year-old girl so it has its fair share of grammar mistakes and plot holes.] Wattys 2015 Talk of the Town Award Second Place Story of 2015 Best Humor and Overall Points of The Fiction Awards 2016 Third in the Writers Awards 2016 Highest Ranks: #1 Humor, #1 Teen Fiction
