"Before I show you who I am, I want you to remember what you're fighting for," Aide replied cautiously and gave them all a piercing stare. "Keep an open mind." "Just tell us, lad," Hanke snarled impatiently and bobbed his sword. "Brace yourselves," Aide said as he slowly reached for his hood. Emaia's heart pounded vigorously in her chest, so loudly, she feared people could hear. This was it. She would finally see the face of her rescuer, the face she had so longed to see. Aide gave them all one last lingering look before he closed his eyes. "Your whole world is about to change." He punctuated his sentence by pulling off his hood. The entire crowd gasped and all readied their weapons, as long silver hair burst free from the cloak and long slender ears appeared. It was impossible, Emaia thought. They had been extinct for decades. But there was no denying it. She looked at the man who had rescued her a few nights ago, and remembered him as charming and valiant. It all made so much sense now-why he could do, what he could do. He was an elf. And not just any elf. - A Northern Elf.

✴︎Featured on Wattpad✴︎ Born into slavery, bound by Fate, and forbidden to love. One faerie will do anything to be free. It's not easy being a child of chaos. Disaster follows Isiilde wherever she goes, but that's the least of her problems-she's a faerie trapped in a realm of humans. And worse yet, she's a nymph. Destined to be sold when she comes of age, Isiilde breaks into the vault of a powerful immortal to steal coin for her escape. But, instead of finding treasure, she (accidentally) releases a fiend into the realm. As penance for her crime, the immortal tasks her with capturing the fiend. Only events quickly spiral out of control amid political scheming, power-hungry madmen, and three kingdoms bidding for her ownership. One lone nymph stands at the center of destruction, with her heart bound to a man as mysterious as her strange affinity with fire. Isiilde is far more than she seems. And so is the man who wins her heart. Fate doesn't stand a chance against a chaotic fire nymph. A character-driven high fantasy novel with coming-of-age themes, pyromaniac faerie, and friends-to-lovers tropes. Previously published as A Thread in the Tangle. A story of innocence and brutality, of love and loss, and courage and hope. It contains mature subject matter. A vampire raised by humans, an OCD elf, a hyper active werewolf and a grumpy angel have six months to reach a forsaken realm called The Firelands (formerly The Dragon Realm). Should be simple right? Its not like they have a group of hunters of their tail, have to find four mostly-unhelpful dragons and, in general, don't get along with each other. Nah, this will be easy. Can't be that hard to escape the goblin tunnels. A giant who fancies himself a chef can't be that much of a threat. And they certainly don't almost kill each other on one very awkward night in a vampire city. What could possibly go wrong? All Kalen, Zedkiel, Incendio and Theth have to do is survive the journey of a lifetime and see that they live long enough fix a realm that Fate gave up on fifty years ago. And Lady Fate is on their side right? .... Right?
