Gerard Way is staying at his grandmother Elena's lake house for the summer before his first year at college. His younger brother Mikey is more concerned about having no wifi for three months than anything else really. The only thing to do is to stay inside the non-air conditioned house or go out on the lake and swim. Unfortunately for Gerard, he lacks the proper skill for swimming. Frank Iero was not under any circumstances ready for any type of infatuation with anyone of the same sex. He was a popular boy, and he was truly the 'Junior Sweetheart'. And it's not like he didn't have a dark side - that's what usually showed most of the time - his egocentric friends were nothing compared to him, an original person - and he was nothing less than punk, to say the least. The Way brothers were an abnormal bunch - Gerard was a smiley, baby skinned boy, who liked to wear skirts and baggy sweaters because of the aesthetic, and okay - maybe he decided to wear glittery lipgloss at times, and yeah, he'll put on heels if you really want him to. Mikey was a serious, low tempered boy, who took no shit from anyone - especially Frank Iero. Gerard was honestly really intimidated by Frank, he was just so cool, and when the truth was revealed that Gerard had a crush on him, Mikey told him one thing. "He's not good enough for you."

Gerard is a talented magician, responsible for much of the success of the famous Envision Destiny cruise ship. He's also one of those people. You know, one of those people who just seem to take up all the space they come across with their arrogance and confidence. You wouldn't wanna touch their personality with a 10-foot pole, but still people admire them. That is beyond Frank. Working behind the cruise ship bars and seeing Gerard pretty much every day, he can't understand what's so great about him. Besides, everybody else doesn't have to deal with his snide remarks and rude comments. Because if there's one thing Gerard seems to love, it's the act of constantly pestering Frank.
