It has happened

Meet Y/N Nikos. Twin sister of Pyrrha Nikos, world champion. Pretty cool, huh? Not really. You see, Y/N doesn't have a semblance per sé, she's a speedster. The first one in centuries. But does she ever get to use her speed? Not even once since she started exhibiting her powers.

Mistake. Worthless. Freak. These might seem like horrible things to hear even in passing, but for Y/N Xiao Long, they're constantly heard multiple times a day. At first, it was only rare verbal abuse, a few missed meals here and there. Then Raven left, and it turned to a few physical beatings a week, constant verbal abuse, one meal every two weeks. Y/N thought he had a chance to have a nice life when Summer came into the family, and he did. For a while. Eventually, Taiyang and Yang started the abuse again, and it was unnoticed by Summer. Then, once more, someone left. After Summer's death, even the abuse from before she came to the family seemed lucky. Constant physical abuse, never getting a meal except the ones he snuck himself, sleepless nights spent in fear of getting hit. Until he finally couldn't take anymore, and ran away with nothing but his clothes, and a greatsword called Rebellion. Ten years later, Y/N Rose-Branwen L/N steps foot in Vale for the first time since he ran.

Ruby Rose. The good girl. You'd never expect her to do anything bad. Least of all commit murder. You'd think she's incapable. And that, is when you've fallen into her web of lies. The truth- Ruby Rose has an addiction. Not to drugs, or Dust, or anything like that. No. She's addicted to killing. The rush she gets from ending another persons life, it's euphoric to her. For her, killing gives the same euphoric reaction as the most dopamine-inducing drugs, such as opioids, amphetamines, cocaine, etc. What's scary is her ability to kill someone in cold blood and then go back to acting completely innocent, the way everyone knows her. But what happens, when her grip on her "good girl" cover starts slipping?

"Come in close. Closer. Look as hard as you can. Because the more you think you see, the easier it'll be to fool you." The camera pans out, revealing Y/N shuffling a deck of cards in the middle of a crowd. He stops and holds the deck up in his hands, motioning for one of the girls in front of him to step forward. "I'm going to flip through this deck, and I want you to see a card, not this card, that's too easy. But I want you to focus on a card, don't tell me. Now," Y/N flips through the deck quickly. "I'm sorry, that was too quick, let me do it again." Y/N flips through the deck again, slower. Unbeknownst to everyone but him, he lingers on the seven of diamonds a split-second longer than the rest. "You got a card? You have it mind?" He asks the girl. "Yes." He smiles and spreads the deck facing away from him. "Do you see your card?" The girl shakes her head. "No." "Ah, what have I been telling you all night? The closer you look," The entire crowd chants, "The less you see!" Y/N throws the cards into the air, turning towards a building that's lights are now configuring themselves into a familiar pattern; Seven of Diamonds. While the crowd goes nuts, Y/N quickly pickpockets the girl that stepped forward's purse, before shoving the wallet in his own pocket. "And now, I leave you. Until next time!" With that, Y/N disappears in a flurry of playing cards, each with his emblem on them instead of the suits.

The sun beat down on my skin, my tattered clothes showed parts of skin that where exposed to it's harmful rays. My bare feet sunk into the ground, their angry screams echoed behind me, encouraging me forward.I stopped at a clearing, whipping my head around I looked for a sign that would show me that that was the direction to flee towards. The yells of villagers came increasingly closer, taunting me, calling me foul names making me fear my fate even more. I looked over to the right of the clearing, seeing a flash of black through the thick leaves fly over he edge, I ran towards that direction. I ran faster than I had ever before, with the fear of losing my life keeping me going. And I hoped, that if I ran far enough, I would escape with my life. ------ A cabin, hidden deep in the woods was where I spent my ten years of life before my family was taken away from me before my own very eyes. They chased me, hunted me down, tried to kill me. All because I was different. I spent years on the run, adopting the life of a criminal, taking the worst path of life. I met an unlikely ally, who saved my life and made a contract with me. But then, we where captured. By a man who wore an eye patch with a demon butler. His name?
