Sparky, a Shinx, is shattered when her trusted trainer abandons her in Pinwheel Forest. Virizion finds Sparky a day later and shows her the wondrous Rumination Haven, where abandoned Pokemon band together to help each other. Six months after the event, Sparky has grown used to life in the Rumination Haven. She has even made two friends: Wings the Butterfree and Shadow the Zorua. But the scar it left on her trust in humans remains. However, when the Rumination Haven is attack and Sparky is separated from her friends, she must learn to trust in humans again, or the Rumination Haven will collapse into chaos. What are Shifters? Shifters are people who posses the rare ability to turn into Pokemon. Ruby, Flicker, Flash and Shimmer all attend a school for Shifters. However, an evil power wishes to control all Shifters, and attacks the school. The results is that the four are sent to another dimension. Soon it becomes clear that the evil Shifter who attack their school is wreaking havoc across the Pokemon world, and in order to get home, they must defeat him. But it won't be easy. The Shifter has many powerful allies, many of them Shifters or Pokemon trainers. As the four Shifters gain allies to aid them, they soon realize that they aren't just fighting to get home. They help keep our world in balance, and protect us from the Finios. Most importantly, they guard the Portae, the gateway to the wondrous Multiverse. However, the Finios want to get the Portae, believing it is the source of the Elementalists' power. They want that power to be theirs, and they'll do anything to get it. And while the Elementalists have sworn loyalty to the Councilium, a small group of Elementalists who run the Multiverse, few have ever seen the inside of the Multiverse. It's wonders are indescribable, and beautiful beyond compare. Or so they say. When a battle against a group of Finios forces a young group of Elementalists to enter the Portae, they start questioning there purpose.
