(A 'Watching the Movie' fic) Mal didn't know what she was expecting when Family Day came, but running from the AK's and being pulled away from Auradon Prep by ancient magic wasn't one of them. Now they were being told that they had a chance to change things, and all they had to do was watch their past and their future. (Disclaimer: I do not own Descendants. All I own are my ocs)

What if Maleficent was the "Maleficent" Maleficent? What if the live action movies were merged with the animated movies? What if not all the villains on the Isle were villains, and not all the heroes in Auradon were heroes? Well, you see, once upon a time there was a beast, a fairy, and a deal... (Featuring Mal & Uma friendship, good parent Hades, and Hadie who deserves his own shoutout) (Disclaimer: I do not own Descendants, and I certainly don't own Disney or any of their movies or characters. But also...did she want to keep doing this? To always be looking over her shoulder for errant paparazzi and reporters? To long to wear her leather jacket and know that she couldn't because it would just be the start of speculation that Ben wasn't a good King if he wanted to keep bringing villains over to Auradon? To just want to breathe for a second?

The first time Ben tags Mal's locker, it's just with an invitation to join the art department. But then... she reacted so 'well' that he couldn't resist doing it over and over again and again. Whoops.

"Do we need to separate you two?" Mal butted in, glowering a little at them both. "I didn't realize you'd be inviting the deadbeat who beats the dead," Maleficent scoffed. "When you die," Hades snarled, hair catching fire a bit as he glares at his daughter's mom, "I get your soul. And believe me, I have an eternal punishment all laid out for you." Ben clapped his hands together, drawing the room's attention to him. He made a gesture with his head to the door. "Come on, Dad, let's take a walk." -Hades isn't ready for Mal to be marrying Ben, but Ben is ready for Hades to accept him into the family.

Ben is only seven when he is diagnosed with meningitis. By the time he's eight, his ears are no longer working. At the age of sixteen, Ben makes the decision to bring over villain kids from the Isle of the Lost in order to start a re-integration process that will start to heal things between the Isle and Auradon. They don't know he can't hear them yet, but they seem to like him and he likes them. Things are great. Until they're not. -In which the VK's learn sign language to talk to Ben.

This is the sequel to Tale of a New Heart- A Descendant's Parody. We left off with a dramatic cliff-hanger as the tensions of Family Day reach their boiling point. The Blue Fairy has had enough of the constant abuse to Ethan Heart and the VK'S. The woman takes all of the heroes, our hero, the VK'S and extra guests as they all watch the memories of the VK's on screen like a movie, watching their journey as they stepped foot in Auradon Prep. As everyone watches, they will surely see just how rotten they have become. Truths will be uncovered, lives will be ruined and no doubt the natural order of both good and evil will be in question. How will our heroes react to see when they watch the horror they have inflicted for so long? (NOTE- I do not own Descendants as the original creators do. I just own my own characters, plot twists and the drama)
