Zöe Nightingales has a curse placed upon her, it seems. Any time she touches anything antique, it breaks. However, that's not the case with this gold lamp, it seems, that practically puffs out smoke every time someone is near it. Curiosity is a curse as well, that hasn't done Zöe Nightingales anything good. As soon as she touched it, some old, evil spirit pops and grants her any three wishes. Zöe , cautious, bids her time. But when she's done with her wishes, she wants everything to go back to normal. Can she battle her old curse, and this newly placed one on her? Or will she die, giving it everything she has?

Ariel, a woman with a tail, wants nothing to do with her past. She had been a naive teen when she had given up her voice. Circumstances, however, don't allow her to forget her wish. She gives birth to a girl with human feet. Now, she has to chase the sea back to its home in order to keep her daughter and her friends safe. Time is running out. Long ago, about 70 years ago, New Calypso had just been discovered. In those times democracy ruled the kingdom, with citizens equal and free. In the island state of Kaücher Ruu there was a prosperous metropolis city, called Sachür. That city was the capital of the country, and it was like Los Angeles or New York. It was the most popular city of them all. But in 2038, with Sachür only being 11 years old, the nuclear plant in the center of the city collapsed upon itself, setting flame to buildings around it and sending toxic, radioactive nuclear waste flying throughout the city. All of the 3 million citizens of Sachür were either killed immediately or were plagued with a strange radioactive fever and died a slow, painful death. For 5 years the radioactive fallout burned away the earth,(at this time our great country was going through an era where the states wanted to be individual and independent) and as the country broke free from their separation, Kaücher Ruu was slowly disintegrating, along with the state's citizens. For 3 years New Calypso was in mourning for the lost state that they so loved. This is the story of the Broken City.
