"London bridge is falling down..." The world is foolish. Ideas of 'The Coming Apocalypse,' never struck anybody as being serious. This would be our downfall. On the 26th of April, 2017, a scientist was found dead in his laboratory, after he had been left behind after hours to do some work. His colleagues refused to tell the public what they were working on. If that wasn't suspicious enough, the same, supposedly dead scientist was seen walking around London the following week. Those who saw him could only describe his appearance as 'corpse-like,' and that he didn't walk, he 'shambled.' This was a sign. This was the beginning of the end.

My mother always said not to fear the monsters; of course they were not real, that was always what she said. Every culture refers to these unrealistic childhood fears with unique names, though you are probably most familiar with the old term 'boogeyman'. Yes, indeed, the most frightening thing in my entire existence was this supposed fake entity. I assure you, however, dear reader, that if anything, this beast that haunted beneath the bed, or lurked within my closest honestly was no innocent fantasy. No, my mother may have tried to comfort me, to say that this silly little monster madness was just an aspect of growing up, a fear of things unseen in the dark. Inside my anxiety was only heightened, because I craved that reality, and at night, well I stared down at my miniature unicorn nightlight with the covers pulled tight, I would envision my mothers promise. This monster could never touch a hair on my head if I counted to ten under my pink fuzzy blanket; but frankly, there was one big problem. She never said anything about his reflection in my mirror... It was one that had shinning bright teeth- perfect as pearls, matched with a set of equally beautiful ( but sinister) eyes... Well I was growing up my mother never said to be sacred of any frightening creatures, but I came to the conclusion as a teenager that maybe my mother was wrong, very wrong- especially when those close to you end up hurt, or worse... The man in the mirror makes them disappear.

Fun always has a limit ... Halloween. Lily's best friend has organized a sleep over and has invited her friends. Boredom can lead to crazy things. What happens when a story, that isn't allowed to be told, brings the ugliest creature known back to life? A creature as deceitful to put the friends into a dilemma: being killed one by one or fighting for their lifes in a game made up by him. To win this game, they'll have to reach their physical and mental limits. But the final sets up a much more difficult thing. Something as cruel that not even Lily would have expected. Something so brutal, that you would voluntarily choose death rather than go through this ... Be prepared for intense emotions and a dark atmosphere... ------- Praise: "Must read!
