Connected by a thread of fate, Ghirahim had said. Destined to fight. He wasn't entirely wrong. Six years after the eradication of Demise, that thread pulls Link and Ghirahim together once more, except now they must put their pasts behind them. Soon after this reunion Link is forced back into the role as the Goddess's chosen hero and protector, now with Ghirahim by his side. But, while Ghirahim is slowly dying and Zelda is dealing with her personal troubles, the world is slowly reaching its demise, and Link finds himself unsure if he can stop it.

When Ghirahim's eyes slid open, he was in an unfamiliar bedroom, laying in a bed that was unnecessarily large for just one person.
