Have you ever heard of Moonstone Island? Yea, probably not. Thats because Moonstone Island is a society of low-class gems, making it isolated from the Homeworld and Crystal Gems. With no real leader, Moonstone Island is about to be erased from the maps. LITERALLY. Yellow Diamond is threatening to set a miniature version of the Cluster, named the Shaker, to blow the island to bits. Yellow Diamond couldn't risk having another Crystal Gem incident, right? Well, word spread to Moonstone that Homeworld planned to blow them up. A leader finally had to step up to the plate. And thats when Onyx emerged from the shadows, literally. She decided that she had been on Moonstone the longest, so she should be leader. The colony argued for months, but finally agreed that Onyx should be leader. Onyx, overwhelmed with power, reinvented herself, naming herself Moonstone and making the unknown island an army of lower gems. But, full power over thousands of gems was not enough for Onyx, or Moonstone, or whatever. She needed more... He didn't know how he was created or who did it and what his reason for existing was. Even Garnet the somewhat appointed leader of the Crystal Gems didn't know what he was since there has never been a Gem with Obsidian as their Gem. It had been a first for everyone. To get a better understanding of him the crystal Gems decide to take Obsidian on as a Crystal Gem student just as Steven, and would one day become a full fledged member. But will his unknown past catch up him?

Steven keeps having dreams about another Gem. Garnet takes an interest due to the fact that Steven has been right about thing she hasn't seen for herself. But who is this Gem Steven keeps seeing in his dreams.

When Steven finds a beautiful girl trapped in a homeworld gem pod, he excitedly introduces her to the gems. They all soon become friends, and live happily together However, he soon developes feelings for her, wanting to be more than friends. But before he could tell her, disaster strikes. Will Steven ever tell her how he feels? Or will he lose her forever?
