Legend says that long ago, nine Sage-Kings introduced magic into the world. Each of these men had been gifted with a different ability to bend to their will: Ember, Aqua, Terra, Air, Static, Nether, Radiance, Psych, and Transmutation. After a lifetime of great adventures and epic feats, age inevitably overtook the Sage-Kings. However, their powers were not lost. It was through each man's descendants that their abilities lived on.
