Time is like a cloak hanging over the world we live in - it is the very fabric of our existence. Time is something the Clans cannot not afford to waste. They depend on a type of flower, Moonlight's Embrace, to keep the earth in their territories nourished, and to keep their connections to StarClan strong. For many years, the Clans by the flowers were strong and happy, until they started to realise that the number of flowers were declining, and they had no idea how to grow more. Conflict began to arise, with each Clan growing more and more restless. Soon, they were stealing from one another. Moonlight's Embrace comes in three different colours, one for each Clan. The flowers declined so quickly, eventually, only one of each colour were left. Realising that they no longer could stay on their dying territory, the Clans set off on a journey to find new territory, bringing the last three flowers along with them. Whispercloud's kits have come early and they are very sick. Only one manages to survive but he is deemed useless and worthless to the clan after the deputy died for the kit. His mother disowns him and even gives him a cruel name, all while the father is the new deputy and can't spend time with the kit. The medicine cat soon receives an omen that may be tied to the small, seemingly hopeless cat but some cats of WindClan believe there is still hope.

When it senses danger with its horn, it would leave its home to warn people of the impending doom. However, that usually leads to misunderstanding - that Absol is the cause of the disasters. Humans, being foolish and impulsive, would assume that Absol is the cause of the destruction caused to many villages. Even though Absol suffered under the impulsive nature of humans, it still leaves the mountains to warn the people - even if it meant being blamed for "causing" disasters. This is the story of a young female Absol that learnt that life is cruel and unfair but no matter what, helping others is not an option - no one deserves to suffer from dangers they do not know of. Absol saw the cruelty of humans - they murdered her mother mercilessly when she was only trying to help them.
