Patrick Stump was hiding a secret. It was something that he had never told anybody—not even his parents nor his siblings—because he was certain that revealing his secret to other people would let them think only one thing: he had gone completely nuts. That wasn’t the case at all, thank you very much. The truth was that Patrick could predict when people are going to die. No kidding. And, actually, “predict” wasn’t the correct term to call his “gift” or “ability” or whatever at all… Patrick could see timers above people’s heads, indicating the amount of time they’ve got left to live. After years of witnessing multiple near-death accidents and the untimely passing of people he knew and even those he didn’t know—which he was clearly aware that he could have stopped and saved their lives if he had only tried—Patrick thought that he had lived long enough to see some good friends die, and he knew that it was probably a dangerous time to be a friend of his. He was on the bad side of twenty-five. © Daphne Reyes (conjurethemockingjay), All Rights Reserved 2015

After receiving life threatening results on his Aptitude Test, Sage Stronghold discovers that the world he once saw as black and white, has more areas of grey than he ever realized. On his Choosing Day, Sage is then faced with the life altering decision of whether to stay with his family and the life he knows, or try and create a new existence in a different faction. He makes a choice. But is it the right one? Sage has a secret, dark and threatening to destroy him; one that he must fight to bury and conceal from everyone, because if anyone finds out, it would mean certain death. Published under Pop Fiction/Summit Media. She's rich, he's not. She's the student body president, he's struggling to pass math. She's the queen bee, he's the loner in school. Celeste Graham is on the top of the high school food chain. Students look up to her, but some just plainly feel intimidated. Being popular isn't exactly the greener side of the meadow, but just one night of getting locked into the school with a "nobody" made Celeste feel normal and genuinely happy. Both of them bring a hidden side to each other. They might disagree most of the time, but that was a little price to pay for falling for their polar opposite.
