"Unbroken but crystallized Into a million pieces - Behold! My heart." These are the pieces assembling my mosaic heart - some in the shape of sharp betrayal and jagged hopelessness; some in the shade of crimson lies and deep blue loneliness. They're glued together with the names hidden behind, the memories I couldn't forget, and a love I'm yet to find. So please, be careful as you read them through. And don't tease love to me for I might paste you too. 💫💫💫 #1 in Chapbook | 08/19/2021 #1 in Modernpoetry | 11/13/2021

"But you are too beautiful for me, darling, Like a poetry I do not deserve to write." _________________________ A collection depicting how sweet yet chaotic infatuation could be. These are poems I've written on my freshmen year in college for a guy who dawned like morning, scattered sun beams and daylight bliss, illuminating my darkest moments with a smile so vibrant, I'm lost in summer dreams. Until one day, sunshine's gone and all that was left was a candle of hope, slowly burning away as twilight approaches. Hope you enjoy. 💫💫💫 #1 in ModernPoetry | 05/28/2020 #1 in Chapbook | 08/20/2021

"A little song in my heart?" Not really. What Jo has is closer to a symphony, with a variety of instruments pouring out their sounds in unity while fighting for dominance. The melodies parade around her head, and then gently float up to the sky like brightly-colored balloons. It's an eternal symphony, and she is the conductor. Jo has taken daydreaming to the point of delirious bliss, and she tends to wander around the edges of reality. Everyone who is "real" has ripped themselves away from her in fear. She's sinking deeper into the radiant sea of denial. But there are always ripples of truth that poke through the protective wraps around her heart. And she might be starting to learn that not every song is a lullaby. (Some of these I've posted on goodreads as well. I hope you enjoy reading them!♡)

"i. they tell me they
cannot comprehend art. where art is, whispers reside. ii. i tell them
that the only art i need are the words that bleed onto paper. iii. they tell me it doesn't work that way. there are compromises for art. sports. science. history. iv. but i want to speak. there are moments that fleet away when i do not store them. there are impulses that dab off when i do not write. v. when i am alive, i burst
open with Slyvia Plath and Robert Frost. my hair fluffs with words. my veins cry with poetry. vi. welcome to my poetry book. i hope you drown in the words you sink in." ©theperfectphoenix Established -- [09-03-2016] Highest Rank : #2 in Poetry. Now A Wattpad Featured Book! [20-05-2016]
