On these necklaces, an empty, corked bottle hangs, and as time goes by, the bottle fills with multicolored sand in a specific pattern. When you come of age, your bottle will fill entirely to the top. The real kicker is, only one other person in the whole world shares the same sand pattern as yourself, and that person is the who you are meant to be with; your soulmate, your other half, your match. Trinity Harpers, a girl who to this point, had been living a life void of interesting stories to tell, has just come of age. And her match - well, he's not exactly the Prince Charming she had in mind. And destiny is a funny thing - it doesn't like to be messed with.

This is simply a collection of the poems I hurriedly scratch out around midnight. I usually write about whatever stokes my fancy at the moment - usually sad things, or ramblings about love. Depression and anxiety rule my life, so be prepared to explore the deep caverns of my mind.

Cecilia Kee has always had problems. No, not the regular high school girl problems. She wasn't worried about homework, grades, friends. She wasn't even worried about a boyfriend. See, Cecilia has cancer. Brain cancer to be specific. A special type of brain cancer that affects the way she feels pain. And of course, given the weight of the situation, she hasn't bothered to explain it to very many people. But she doesn't mind the shadows.
