"You are under arrest by The Congregation of Creatures... may the Gods have mercy on your soul." We worked for The Congregation of Creatures. We were the head of the Band of Hunters: the White-Collars. We were legends. People looked up to us in awe. On a routine arrest for an illegal trade of creatures, Xenia breaks protocol, and is dumped in the middle of nowhere, forced to teach at a school she has no business being at, put on probation until she can prove herself. The enchanting school holds many chilling secrets that will push Xenia to do things she's never had to deal with. Jake meanwhile finds himself in sticky situations hunting down more law breakers without his partner in crime, and discoveries that would send a shiver down the spines of the fearless. In a compelling tale of creatures, tainted education, and warriors, the two find themselves fighting for what deserves a fight, tangled in a web of secrets, and immersed in an enchanting world of history.

Not a happy ending. Nor novel structured. Neither predictable, not quite relatable. Let your mind wander, and your imagination run away with you. Because baby, we are at the end of the world.

"I've died thousands of times and I can promise you that I will die a thousand times more," he breathed. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Structured society had been demolished nearly a decade before this time when the War Heads, as well as hundreds of other aliens, made their settlement in our world. There are no policemen, swat teams, protective services, or Robotic Armed Militia to defend us anymore. They had been wiped out as soon as the civilized system was corrupted. Only two million remain from what was once seven billion... now it is only us who can protect ourselves, the ones that are young and able to adapt the easiest to these situations, but there is only so much adaptation we can do. We have to get to New York and find somebody. Things are about to get much worse unless we ally, but loose ends will destroy us and our system will be torn down again. God, if you are there, what do you expect us to do?

Name one thing that kept us from doing bad things. The law? What if we don't care about the law? Our conscious? What if we didn't have one? Then you'd get the Suits. Hearts, Spades, Clubs and Diamonds. Each faction was gifted a King, a Queen, a Jack, an Ace and a Joker. High ranking members of each gang were numbered, 2 to 10. Just like a deck of cards. My name is Melissa Lark. Joker of Diamonds. This is the story of my partners, Ethan Denna and James Lark, and Myself. I can't guarantee this will be a pretty story.
