Super powered humans started appearing 30 years ago. Now, they are everywhere. Bob Moore, Private Eye, dares to investigate those who could incinerate him with a thought. When he is called to help a super from his past, however, he'll be pushed to his limit. When supers and the police think there is no crime, can he get to the truth? Will he want to for the man that destroyed his marriage? What People are saying about Bob Moore "The most delicious "superhero" themed book I've read. The world is incredibly deep, believable, and realistic with its own rules and terminology. The characters come alive and make you feel." -Vitaly Alexius, Creator Romantically Apocalyptic "This was quite an enjoyable read. When you cross a gritty gumshoe with spandex superheros, their two worlds collide in spectacular fashion." -Jeffrey Hendricks, Author Seeking the Heavens "The book is fast and keeps your interest. This was the first book that as I approached the end, I started getting a feeling of dread that the end was coming up and at the same time I had to find out the finale. What an enjoyable sensation."

Arabelle stepped out into the brisk air. Winter was well on its way, and the weather made it obvious. It was times like this that Arabelle found the stars most beautiful, glowing in the sky, wind blowing. She hugged herself, feeling the sweater on her body. The stars were her favorite thing in the whole entire world. She and her father would sit out every night, just gazing up at the sky. The night he had died was the last night that he and Arabelle had looked at the stars. He had asked her to open the blinds on his hospital window. He whispered, "Let's look at the stars, how about it?" Thinking back on the memory made her feel extreme sadness. She could feel the tears returning back to her eyes. It had only been five months that he had left them. She held them back, she wouldn't cry again. Ever since then, her life had been nothing but blurs of confusion. She just wanted help, someone to be there to say, "It'll be okay." Her mother hadn't been much of a mother ever since that day, so she was by herself. No one to tell her it'd be alright, that she'd make it through. She glanced at the sky once more, and that's when she saw it. Falling down, a tail of gleaming sparkles behind it. A falling star. Ever since she was little she had believed completely in wishing on falling stars. So, that's exactly what she did. I wish someone would come help me, guide me, show me that it will be okay... I simply ask for a friend. She huffed, and went back inside. Little did she know, her wish was going to come true...

After the accident, nothing seemed right. I walked around like a mindless zombie, having the occasional breakdown that involved me rocking back and forth in the fetal position while muttering about imaginary men in spandex suits and lollipops. I shouldn’t have been too surprised when my grandparents shipped me off to spend the summer with my shrink stepmother in the no-name Texan beach town she lives in. Now, I’m stuck in a town full of crazies. It’s as if Noah’s ark of rejects made a home here, and now most of them are flocking to me. When did I turn into a beacon for insane people? All I want to do is get through this summer without fully cracking and getting a full ride trip to the funny farm. Is that too much to ask? Although, it might be what I deserve after what I did. Karma seems to have it out for me. Or maybe Old Man Wallace—or whatever his name is today—is right, and the androids really are out to get us all. This was supposed to be the perfect escape—a way to get away from everything back home. It’s starting to look like I’m in a summer chick flick gone way, way wrong.

*In major construction. Do not read unless you do not want to read the ending for a very long time until I get things figured out. Thanks!* I was just a hacker. Your average, seventeen-year-old, very sarcastic hacker. Well, average if you thought average meant living with your fried chicken obsessed uncle after your ex-secret agent parents mysteriously disappeared off the face of the Earth. Until that day. A simple business card from an odd boy claiming he needed a hacker for something of the utmost importance. Now? I’m working with the son of the director of the FBI to figure out who wants his father—and possibly us—dead. Not to mention not getting caught and totally not falling for him all while still trying to figure out where my parents are. As I said, nothing good could come of this.
