As the Ferris wheel neared the top, I gripped his hand, refusing to look down. "It's going to be okay," He whispered soothingly into my ear. "The view's not bad." But I didn't want to look down. I wanted to stare deep into his warm green eyes and stay there forever, but I set my jaw and kept my gaze forward. There were many reasons why I couldn't like him: one of them being that he's my bestfriend's boyfriend.

It was beautiful at first. The dreams, I mean. The orange go cart,the race track,the boy. But what started out as a dream ended as a nightmare. He told me he was falling. But i didn't dare tell him that wasn't the worst part. That It's not how you fall. It's how you land.

"Airi....? Airi?" Deon's voice echoed somewhere in my consciousness, but I couldn't quite grasp on to it. I was swallowed by darkness; MY darkness. All the emptiness and sorrow and pain came swimming in, engulfing me into nothingness. A light...no- a hand reached out to me in the darkness. It guided me away. There was a numbing sensation, a nice feeling, sort of like a good dream. I didn't want it to end. "Airi, don't give up on me." Deon's voice began to surface from the darkness. "AIRI!!!!!!!!" My eyes flew open, the harsh lights of a bedside lamp blinded me. "What?" I asked, annoyed.
