Het bedrijf Geestesoog is een illegale organisatie, zij doen al jarenlang onderzoek naar de menselijke geest en op dit moment is hun aandacht gericht op het geheugen. Zij zitten achter de ontvoering van deze 50 tieners, die ze op een eiland hebben geplaatst die zo zwaar beveiligd is dat de regering er zelfs niet bij zou kunnen komen (als ze überhaupt al van het bestaan van het eiland afwisten). Hoe reageert de menselijke geest op geheugenverlies? Blijven dingen je bij in je onderbewuste? Ga je anders gedragen? En vooral, wat voel je voor de familie die je niet meer herkent?
