When Helena finds a phone on the night train, she decides to text the first number in the list of contacts in order to figure out who it belongs to. ***** Helena Santos hasn't had the easiest life. At twenty-one, she's the legal guardian of her teenage sister, in the final year of her nursing degree, and working night shifts at her small-town's local bar. And things get a lot more complicated when she finds a phone on the train home and decides to text the first number in the list of contacts, in hopes of tracking down its owner. That contact? Adam Bauer; the charismatic, sweet, and refreshingly honest older brother of the person who lost their phone. As the two continue talking, they can't ignore the chemistry and growing feelings between them, but life is never that simple. To make things work, Helena and Adam need to juggle a troubled sister, a meddlesome ex-boyfriend, and one fat lawsuit - all intent on keeping them apart. Sable Marks never thought that five months after graduation she would still be in the same ocean-side town she grew up in. But five months ago Sable Marks' father wasn't dying, her mother wasn't sleeping with her hunk of an assistant (and lying about it), and her brother Nolan wasn't taking a face dive off a cliff. Then Sable meets Parker Nova, a cigarette smoking hard ass who just happens to be the son of the most notorious Lawyer in Hines Trail and decides maybe its her turn to act out and show her family just how 'fine' she really is. But Parker has other plans for Sable. Plans that include finding who the real Sable Marks is and, despite his best efforts not to, discover a bit about himself in the process. Five months ago, Sable Marks never thought she'd find solace in the shape of a troubled boy with dark blue eyes, but five months can change a person. {Spiritual #8 / Teen Fiction #212} *Contains swearing, mild violence and talk of abuse.*

He was nothing like her. "I've got your next assignment," The caller says, "Are you ready?" He loads his gun. "Always." She was nothing like him. "Are you sure that this is allowed?" She asks. They were the two sides of a coin; "I'm a fúcking assassin little girl. I kill for money and sometimes, just for the fun of it." He was the villain, She was the girl he was going to get at any cost, "So we are friends?" He asks, "Yes. We are." She replies. "But I want to be more than that." He says and her eyes widen in surprise. They fall in love, But sometimes, love isn't enough, sometimes you have to put your faith in Him too. Because He decides how every story starts and how it ends. "Do you believe in God?" She asks, he shakes his head. "That's just a bunch of bull. In the world we live in, He doesn't exist." He replies. "I think, no I know He exists." She tells him, "And when I die, I'm going to Him." She smiles. "Like I'll let you go that easily." He laughs. But in the end, he is left with no choice to believe and put his faith in Him. Because He was all that stood between death and the woman he couldn't live another day without. And sometimes, the villain is the good guy. ©2015, CeeTheSpinster™ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
