Since he wasn't loved or cared for, he then came upon a stage of depression. So basically he was a depressed whale. He then calls his ex girlfriend, knowing she is nice enough to help him. She refuses at first, but then gives in and has a plan. The demon doesn't want to give in immediately, but then when he lays eyes on the boy she is befriended, he changes his mind.

"Hey Diaz, it's me, Tom!" "Hey Starship!" "WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING HERE, DEMON!!??" "I've just studied here in your campus." When the Demon lands on Earth and studies at Echo Creek University, along with Marco and Star, things go haywire for a while (for the two boys). But suddenly, they felt connected to each other.
