Braun, a young German boy who lives peacefully with his mother in the rural area of Frankfurt, has his life disburted by the sudden arrival of a war. Being forced to leave his family behind to fight for his country, he joins one of the bloodiest conflicts ever fought in History, during which he crosses path with an old friend, causing an equally old feeling to be ignited yet again. How could something so beautiful and sweet as young love come out of such a horrible place?
