I was in Biology 101 when the sirens went off. We were herded in single file to the buses that escorted us to the loading docks twenty miles away. Once there, I got dislocated from my group and watched as they boarded the space pod I was meant to be on. Several minutes later, airborne and on their way to space, the white pod exploded into a ball of flame and ash. Lost in the whims of guilt and relief, I joined another group on a separate pod. Ten minutes later, I looked down upon the Blue Planet for what could very well be the last time. It was not sorrow that I felt for her, but fear. De-ac-ti-vated tells the story of how Earth perished and its inhabitants were forced to flee into the black unknown of space. But leaving Earth was only the beginning. No one could have fathomed what the deep black of the cosmos held for them. Highest Ranking: #62 Sci-fi (02/11/2017) I want to thank @kario12 for a great cover design. Your skill is breathtaking and I love working with you. I would also like to thank Tobias Roetsch for the lovely artwork we were allowed to use. Your talent is superb!!! Book two starts five months after the end of the first one; with Alexander struggling to return to his squadron, and Angela fighting to survive on the front lines without his amazing skills or powerful presence. With the affects of the Eden program plaguing his every living moment, a broken and battered Alexander finds that in order to return to his friends and fight against the alien abominations that have stolen nearly everything from him, he must first survive the most intense and gruelling training the American Military has to offer. He must make it through Marine Corps Boot Camp, a training program designed to destroy young men and women, and then build them back up into one of the most elite fighting forces in the world. His second in command, Angela, however, finds herself stuck out on the front lines with the other members of the squadron as she is now forced to somehow take his place as the Squadron Commander of a tired, and depressed outfit that is down two members. Yet, with the U.N.E. threat pushing against NATO forces and threatening to invade Germany, she and her friends must fight on and give Alexander time to return.

The year is 2043 and the nations of the world find themselves almost powerless against an unknown enemy known as Unknown Entities, or U.N.E.'s. The Worlds best weapon against these hideous creatures from space are the giant Mech's and their pilots who stand on the front lines and fight a never ending stream of U.N.E.'s to protect their lands, nations, and friends from harm. Two young pilots from very different worlds come together at a secret weapons facility as the next generation of Mech's are ready to hit the front line. One is a young British pilot born and raised in combat who is haunted by horrible memories, while the other is an American pilot who has never seen combat but has never found anything or anyone that can best her. Can these two young officers set aside their differences and pride and do what needs to be done? Or will they falter when it matters most?
