Taylor was from the poorer side of town. She had had to make her own money to pay rent on her crappy apartment all by herself. The only thing that could get her out of this rat hole of a neighborhood was through college. She couldn't pay for it on her own so she focused on juggling her grades, volleyball, and her job at Alfonzo's so she could escape someday.
Blake lives in the nice gated community where all the posh and snotty people reside. He has never had to work a day in his life and every thing has always been handed to him on a silver platter. He can go to any college he likes, no matter where it is or how much it costs.
You would think they would never cross paths. That's where you're wrong. Taylor and Blake cross paths one night while Taylor is working at Alfonzo's. Immediately despising Blake's "too good for everyone" attitude, she refuses to treat him as he is accustomed to. Blake thinks of Taylor as a brat who will not treat him with respect and doesn't know that his father owns multiple businesses and has more money than most countries. They begin to be thrown into each others lives and every day is filled with insults, sarcasm, and snotty comments. But we all know that there's a thin line between love and hate, but love, for them, is highly unlikely.
