How many hours are in a day when you don't spend half of them watching television? When is the last time any of us really worked for something that we wanted? How long had it been since any of us really needed something that we wanted? The world we knew is gone. The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled, no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable tv. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living. ****DISCLAIMER**** I do not own The Walking Dead, any of the characters or the story line itself. All rights go to AMC and Robert Kirkman. All original characters and plots that are neither in the comic nor television series are my own, and they are all that I claim for. If you have any queries about what I have written here feel free to ask, I'm a reasonable person.

One infection causes the society to crumble like a cookie. No military, no economy, no leaders, nothing. No one is coming to save you, no one is there to help. Everyday is a struggle for Mariah Beckon, her adopted brother and sister not making it any easier. When the trio cross paths with a group from Atlanta, she meets the people who she belongs with, her family. As the group of people fight to survive, Mariah falls head over heels for one man in particular. No matter how hard she tries she just can't seem to forget that redneck. This is a story of many things: love, betrayal, hatred, death, but the most important of all, surviving. I do not own any of AMC's The Walking Dead characters, however everyone else mine, do not copy ANYTHING please. @Copyright 2013.

Will Hailey survive long enough to see an end to people eating each other or will she die just like her fathers family...or so she thinks. {FINISHED/LEFT TO YOUR IMAGINATION}

Beatrix and Daryl had never met before. In fact, they lived two completely different lives. Beatrix lived in the city, right beside of the hospital, which is where she spent most of her time. Her favorite thing to do at work-besides work, of course-was to talk to her patients and the nurses. She had never been in trouble a day in her life. She had a perfect record, not even being stained with as little as a speeding ticket. Daryl lived in a secluded cabin, at least three miles away from any civilization. The only time he ever talked to anybody was when he was forced to at work. He was constantly in and out of jail, mostly taking the blame for his older brother, but nobody knew that except for him. He destroyed the name Dixon. You couldn't have picked two people that were more different. What happens when the apocalypse brings them together? Will they ever be able to be together? Or will the apocalypse destroy them, just like everything else? Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead or any characters/idea from the show. Set in the savage, primordial world of the The Walking Dead, the new original short story "A Fork in the Road" by Jay Bonansinga, the New York Times bestselling author of The Walking Dead: Invasion, tells the tale of one person's epic quest to escape their fate in Alexandria, Virginia. The only problem is, nobody leaves the ranks of the violent gang known as the Saviors and lives to tell about it. The struggle to flee the clutches of this group and find peace among the ruins of northern Maryland leads the reader directly into the heart of darkness. And like most stories set in this terrifying world, things in the end are not at all what they seem. Inspired by Skybound and Scopely's The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, the official mobile game for Robert Kirkman's popular comic series, The Walking Dead. Life is broken. That's the only way to explain this damned world. You can't do anything without second guessing your decision, you think that what ever you do is wrong and I can't even count the number of times I've lost my morales. I've had to do things that you should only have to see in the movies. Killing should only be something you hear on the news, but now I don't get a day without hearing people cry and whimper for help or mercy. The world is broken, and it's all thanks to the damned corpses that rise up everyday and chow down on the living. The only reason I haven't given up hope, the only reason I haven't stopped fighting, the only reason I haven't sent a bullet through my brain is because of one thing. This thing that keeps me going, this thing fuels my body, this thing that makes me fight these diseased ridden freaks, is love. The love I have for my family and friends is the only thing that's kept me here, it's the only reason I walk the earth with the dead. Included among my family and friends is the biggest reason I didn't die at the beginning, he's one of the biggest reason's why I protect the prison with my life. This man that saved my life countless times is my broken saviour, this man is none other than my redneck.
