This is a story about a young woman who faces challenges with her family, and feels like she has nowhere to go when faced with adversity. She leans on her therapist, a stuck up doctor who thinks her Harvard degree means she knows what Jamie is going through, but grows to love the tenacious girl who walked into her office. She has spent every school year, summer, and holiday working her butt off to achieve her dreams, but this summer her mom has different plans for her. Thalia has to make the best of a situation she never dreamed of being in.
