Dan Howell is a vampire; turned as a teenager in the early 1900s. To make matters worse his best friend disappeared and his family died in a terrible fire not even a week later. Ever since then, Dan has walked the world alone, sleeping around and frankly not giving a damn about any human or vampire crossing his path. That is until the mayor of a town he'd grown accustomed to somehow found out he was the one responsible for the 'animal attacks' in the town and he was forced to leave. He recalled an old friend he made a few years back. One who had promised a place to stay if ever needed. He'd never planned on taking him up on his offer until now. Dan, of course, doesn't plan to stay any longer than a month or even a few weeks, but that all changes when he sees the man's son, Phil. Dan cannot deny how he feels when Phil is around, but as they get closer they face many challenges; a fling from the past and much more. Will they be able to make it out of this mayhem together? Or will the darkness fall over everything that they are and destroy the only piece of happiness in Dan's life since he was a human? (I started this story awhile ago with no intention to really make it go anywhere so the first few chapters are a bit shaky but if you keep reading it gets better I promise xo)
