An alternate universe Jalex based in high school where i attempt to make the story line original and cute, but it's all a matter of opinion really, i can't brainwash you into gushing over cuddles. No Jock vs Nerd cliches here, just two neighbors who eventually fall in love. Sound's pretty straight forward, right? But do you dare to believe me, or is there more than what meets the eye? (The actual Jalex begins at about 7, the chapters are kind of short and it's always hinted before then but if you're not that patient then i thought you might want to know ^__^) (Written in the constant P.O.V of Alex, but Jack is mentioned in basically every chapter so you won't have to keep up with the constant switch)

If it wasn't for one faulty clasp, Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth would have been nothing more than another one night stand to each other. If Jack hadn't been rushing to college, they never would have met properly in the daylight. If Alex hadn’t had to get to work early, they never would have fallen for one another. If the pendant hadn’t caught the light, they never would have torn each other apart. But on that day, late January, that seemingly insignificant piece of metal did break. Jack was late. Jalex! Okay so basically this is my first fanfic ever so take it easy on me. It's really fluffy and cute and stuff. So basically Jack gets hurt and the band goes on a tour break, and Alex and Jack are forced to largely re-evaluate their lives together, their feelings for each other, and themselves in general. It all began with a kiss, with Alex, my best friend, my band mate, which got me thinking, am I gay? The audience was yelling now. "Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!" They chanted. I blinked, confused.
