But they were later found and it was too late. In the kings last effort to protect his family he put Allura and Coran in a deep sleep and they were kept in the healing pods. The children on the other hand, the Galra had no clue of there existence, he used a spell (thing) to change their appearance to resemble people on Earth and erased their memories, afterwards sending them to earth on and escape pod (thing).
