Manuel ist ein Nuck. Ein Mensch ohne jegliche Fähigkeit wie z.B. die Elemente beherrschen oder sich in ein Tier zu verwandeln. Und das auch noch in der Königsfamilie. Er wird verachtet und verspottet und ist somit dazu verdammt einsam zu sein. Nucks hatten nicht das Recht sich zu vermählen. Daher denkt Manuel, dass er auf alle Ewigkeit alleine bleiben wird. Wer will denn schon einen Nuck? Aber das Schicksal hat für ihn was anderes vorbereitet.

Prince Roman of the Ironfelt Kingdom is well known for being a heroic, flirtatious man. Everyone respects him, and sees him as a mighty hero, however as much of a hero he is, he's lonely. His only real friend is his Royal Assistant Logan Crofters. Lord Virgil Anxiety of the Dark Forest is the ruler and protector of the dark forest. Virgil moved to New York to try and move past his old demons that had been causing him to struggle in life since he was thirteen. The problem is, he's got limited money, and being new in town means he's got no friends and certainly no family to turn to for help. However, he happens to catch a lucky break by getting a job as a technician for a musical. The anxious young man wasn't expecting to fall in love with the Broadway star playing the lead though. This book is completed.

This chance encounter leaves Nico breathless and in a need to see Mikhail again. The problem is that Mikhail doesn't want anything to do with Nico. With a new group, 'Zechna', killing off Mafia members one by in the background, will Nico survive unscathed? Friendships will be tested, family will be damaged, and love will falter.
