Angel just moved to Japan with her mother's permission and is staying in an apartment on her own. It's her first day of high school and things aren't going as she planed. She's late to her first class; gym. But while getting ready for gym things become strange real quick.

Mia is a 16 year old girl with an alcoholic father and a missing mother. Her father blames her for her mother's disappearance all the time. Her home life isn't the greatest, but she does have someone that lights up her day; Max. Max is her German Shepherd whom she got when she was 12 from her Uncle's animal shelter. Little does she know that Max isn't exactly just a dog. He's much more than that.
