Paige Freeran who has been recently dumped, has a troubled life of her own that seems to become more apparent to Justin as their lfes intertwine. Still stricken by grief of his fathers passing, Justin tries to juggle not only his neglectful, and radical mother, but also Paige Freeran's life, of bully's and abuse. Although Justin is aware of what he has taken on, he still continues to try and find some peace of mind to the two women in his life that mean the most to him.

Cyrus knew two things. The first, he was invisible. He preferred to go unnoticed rather than to be outed as being socially stunted. The second, he didn't want to go on unseen, especially not by her. What Cyrus didn't know is that love is the least of his problems. A war is coming, one that he plays a key role in. He doesn't need someone to love; he needs someone he can trust.

A lot of people saw the apocalypse coming. But whether this is the apocalypse or not, we're not sure. Enough people seem to think it is. I guess that's why they started calling them zombies. But they're not. They look more like a werewolf halfway transformed into a wolf but not completely there yet. The only noise they make is growling and grunting like zombies, hence the name. But the older ones are cunning like vampires. It's hard to explain how I know so much about them. You see I found away to be with them. Usually it's impossible to get near them because the moment they know you're there they go into a killing frenzy and sort of half eat you. You know like when a cat only sort of eats the mouse it kills. They're vicious like that and if you see one shoot it on sight. They all deserve to die. At least that's what I used to think. Now I don't know what to think. Because...I...I think I'm in love with one.
